September 27, 2026 -- Brunswick Little Theatre (BLT) closes its 2026 summer season with the well-liked, poignant On Golden Pond on stage from October 8-25. Made popular by the acclaimed film of the same name starring Henry Fonda and Katharine Hepburn, many critics have dubbed this screenplay “a love letter to life.”
On Golden Pond highlights an aging couple, Norman and Ethel Thayer, spending the summer at their Maine lake house. When their estranged daughter Chelsea leaves her teenage stepchild with them for a month, Norman forms a tight bond with the youth. This classic love story navigates the themes of aging with grace, building generational bridges, and mending family relationships.
